I have the back of the sweater already completed and waiting on spare needles.  I’m about 1/3 of the way through the front, and I plan on changing the neck shaping to give it a little more room.  The afghan is coming along, and you’re starting to see the color patterning- I’ll try to get some pictures up tomorrow at some point. 

If you’re not already visiting www.knittinghelp.com for videos and a wonderful forum, you should.  The people on the forum are absolutely wonderful, and willing to help out with anything you need.  There are also videos of many of the knitting techniques commonly used.  I’ve also joined two yahoo groups, but at the moment don’t have access to the names– I’ll put them up later.  Just figured I would post an update

I don’t have pictures yet, but my latest addiction is sweaters. I’m working on a basic pattern using Lion Brand Homespun yarn– it’s wonderfully soft. I’m making it in a dark charcoal, and the pattern is actually very simple to follow.

The other pattern I really want to try is by Glampyre Knits– a picture is located on the Stitch Diva Studios website. Unfortunately, the yarn it calls for is handspun silk- I don’t think I can either afford it or want to work with it. I’m thinking of using Knitpicks Shine yarn in either Terra Cotta or Crocus. I’m really leaning toward the purple crocus color, but that will have to wait a while!

I’m also making a ripple afghan from a very simple pattern I found online:

Row 1: K1, K2tog, K6, YO, K1, YO, K6, (K2tog) twice, K6, YO, K1, YO, K6, K2tog, K1

Row 2: Purl Row 3: Knit

It doesn’t get any easier than that I’m using a rainbow boucle yarn I found on clearance at Joanns that has a shading of light and dark blue. It’s looking wonderful with the ripple pattern- again, I’ll have to take pictures soon!

I’ve had pictures to upload for ages, but I just hadn’t found the time to get them up on the website, so today I’m spending my morning uploading lots and lots of pictures of my finished projects. Let’s see– there are pictures of my second, third and fifth pair of socks (the fourth was a copy of the first). I have pictures of some of the yarns I’ve picked up recently, as well as some of the finished clogs I’ve made.

I’ve also been making ballet style slippers as well, and there are pictures of those up too. I’ve been being very productive over the past few months! Feel free to comment on anything, and to pester me if you’re interested in having anything made!
