Sooo… since I work at a satelllite tv company and a big nasty storm went across the country, we’re slammed with calls. At least I’m making progress on several projects and plan on starting another after lunch. Need to run to walmart for two balls of yarn… but I’ll get there. I’ve been asked to make two norberta dragons, a set of wristwarmers, two bunnies, and I’m working on a sweater and a purse. At least I’m busy and not bored!!!!

I think I have found two more sweaters I want to make– one is a vest for Joe and the other is a hooded pullover for me. I guess I need to find more money so I can do a mosaic’s run!
First- the Ymer vest from Elsebeth Lavold’s second Viking Knits collection- I think this would look really sharp on Joe!

Second- Rogue Pullover for me- I love the detail in this pattern… it’s available online at http://www.girlfromauntie.com/patterns/shop/rogue/detail.php

I finished Rona- finally! Over 1000 stitches to bind off- that took two days, but I did it. It’s so incredibly soft- I love it! I haven’t blocked it yet, but I’ll get there.

Now I’m working on mom’s sweater using Berocco Ultra Alpaca- it is so incredibly soft!

I wish I had more time to work on my projects, but life just doesn’t work that way. I’ve got two shawls, a purse and a sweater in the works. The sweater is coming along slowly as I get the hang of reading cable charts. I’ve gotten used to the symbols on lacework charts, it’s just quite different to be working on cables. I’m hoping I can make a dent in it sometime tonight, maybe on my lunch break.
I’m on the last column- about the last 30 rows- of the Rona shawl, so maybe I can get that done next week. It is very hard to tell what it’s going to look like since it’s all bunched up on the needles. I finished the first chart of the Dragon shawl, and I need to take a picture sometime this weekend. It was a bit challenging going from one chart to two, and making sure it all fit together correctly, but it’s definately coming along. I ended up using the katsara yarn for this, rather than the Knitpicks Shadow, and I’m very glad I made that decision. It really makes it mine.
I started a Booga Bag- a very basic felted bag- using teal & purple. I am trying the Fibonacci sequence for the striping- a pattern of 3 rows, 5 rows, 8 rows. So far, I really like the result. I just can’t wait to get to the felting part! This gave me something really easy to work on while I was down and out with a flu-like bug this past week. I honestly can’t remember the last tme I got hit that hard by anything.
A friend of mine is pregnant, and she’s going to have a girl, so I’m drooling over all kinds of adorable baby patterns I would love to make. In the spring Better homes & gardens knitting magazine there are two hats I want to try- one is topped with a daisy, and the other has stars. They’re just entirely too cute! I’m off to drool some more and maybe make a decision as to what to make for a future project
