KH New Year’s Knit Along

If you’re a member of Knitting Help’s forum, we’re doing a new year’s knit along. We’re going to knit the night away and make a dishcloth… I designed two versions– one is a basic chart and one is more detailed. They are both 40 stitches square…

Too good to be true???

That is a HUGE cone of handspun yarn I was ****GIVEN**** tonight… wow… Katie- you’re just amazing.  It’s 12 WPI which I’m guessing is about 1000 yards per pound at about 4.5 pounds. Do the math– over FOUR THOUSAND yards of worsted weight yarn… Rogue sweater anyone?

5. Like eggnog? icky- don’t like it at all!

8. Hardest person to buy for? My husband!
9. Easiest person to buy for? Mom, usually
10. Worst Christmas gift? Umm… I guess my family has done really well- can’t think of any!

12. Favorite Christmas movie? Does Nightmare before Christmas count?
13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? When I find something I like
14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Yes, but only if I Know someone else will really like it

17. Favorite Christmas Song? This year- Lobotomy for christmas
18. Travel during Christmas or stay home? stuck at work :(

22. Most annoying thing about this time of year? TRAFFIC!  I have to drive on the interstate to get to work

24. Lights outside? Nope :(  no electricity out there
25. Mistletoe? Yes- I always like getting kisses from my wonderful husband :) And maybe steal one from a cat….

Big FO! Beaded Icarus

I finally finished a beaded Icarus in emerald zephyr… it’s just gorgeous!  And HUGE now that I’ve blocked it…  (warning- lots of pictures ahead!)
